September 2018 Update

September 2018 Update To vary Victor McLaglen’s version of a traditional Irish greeting on entering a house, “God bless all out there!” I trust you’re all well and recuperated having gotten the childers back to their three ARGHS. ARGH - which you may or may not know - is the pirates’ favorite consonant. I do feel a bit sorry or the teachers – particularly on the first day of the new school year. Mark Twain described their job as trying to hold 35 corks under water at the same time. (Herding cats also comes to mind.) However, that the kids are in school again, means their parents have more energy to do inspirational, educational, constructive, adult activities such as joining me at Kevin Barry’s Pub and sharing a few songs, stories laughs, cries, drinks and hearty pub fare. As luck would have it and for your convenience, I’ll be performing at Kevin Barry’s (117 W. River Street in Savannah, Georgia 31401 912-233-9626) all next week. Monday through Saturday, I go on at 8:00. On Sundays, there is usually an open session hosted by the talented, accomplished and welcoming Savannah Ceilidh Band. The session usually runs 6:30-8:30. I go on shortly after that. Sometimes, due to other commitments and/or family affairs, there is no session. In that case, I go on at 8:00. Right now, I’ll finish off by reminding you that you can catch some of my stuff at Youtube and also at Spotify, Apple iTunes, Google Music Store, Rhapsody, Deezer, Amazon, thru CD Baby or even at my website: As hard as it might be to believe, copies of “Frank Tells Tales” are STILL available at the gig ($10) or by mail ($11.50). Send your check made out to me at: 790 E. Spiller Street Wytheville, VA 24382 I’ll endorse the check, sign the book and send one of them back to you by return post. I guess that’s about it for this dispatch from the mountains of SW Virginia. Have a look and listen at my website ( leave a comment if you’d care to or even drop a line through snail mail, email or even Facebook. Incidentally and FYI, as they put it nowadays, I still have some openings for bookings in 2019. Just lemme know. Take care for now and please join me in keeping in your thoughts and prayers the men and women in harms was at home and abroad. All the best, Frank
