May Update

Hello Everyone Out There – I’m just gearing up to get back to Kevin Barry’s next week. Only this time it’s a little different. To steal from some old timer group called The Beatles, this time it will be “8 Days a Week”. I don’t know the song at all, but it fit nicely with this lead in. I’m at Kevin Barry’s Monday – Monday 9-16 May. As usual, Monday – Saturday and then again on the next Monday, I’ll be starting at 8:00. On the Sunday, I’ll go on after the session winds up. The session usually runs from 6:30-ish to 8:30-ish, 8:45-ish. I’ll be going on 8:45-is, 9:00-ish. The session, as always, is an open one. This means that everyone is invited to come and join in with an instrument and/or voice or just sit back and enjoy some fine traditional (for the most part- they do mix it up some) Celtic music. The session, of course is more than ably and amiably anchored by the Savannah Ceilidh Band. So here’s hoping I get to see you some time next week. Come on in, chow down – we’ll share a few drinks, songs and stories. Not incidentally, this coming Sunday is the 71st anniversary of V-E Day. It’s also Mother’s Day this year. I wonder if there’s a connection. (Didn’t mean to be a wise guy, Ma) At any rate, a preemie wish for a very Happy Mother’s Day to all to whom it applies. All the best for now, Frank For information, pictures, bookings and music samples, go to www.frankemerson.com
