Late Nov - Early Dec Update

Here's hoping everyone had a peaceful and reflective Thanksgiving and that you all had your fill of the birds and the balls ...footballs that is. Just wanted to let you know that I'll be heading to Kevin Barry's on Sunday, 2 December and playing through Sunday 9 December. We'll be observing the 71st anniversary (though that's not the right word) of the attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December with some appropriate songs from WWII etc. Another here's hoping you can join us sometime during the week. Oh, don't forget the open sessions, hosted by the Savannah Ceilidh Group anchored by Seldom Sober each Sunday evening from about 6:30-8:30 or so. Everyone is welcome to sing along, play along or just listen. I go on stage after the session. By the way, if you'd like to buy an early Christmas present, all the fellows who work at Kevin Barry's have websites. On these websites are recordings. These recordings are for sale, either through the website or through an outlet such as CD Baby. In addition his recordings, I think Dennis O'Rourke still has copies of "Clean Cabbage in the Bucket and Other Tales From the Irish Music Trenches", which is an anthology a bunch of us put together. My pals Wild Bill Guarnere and Babe Heffron are selling their book Brothers in Battle Best of Friends through Amazon. (It's available in book form and in Kindle) These are two of the fellows from the Band of Brothers, E Co, 506 PIR, 101 ABN. Pretty exciting and informative. They pull no punches. That's about it for now, I'll be talking with you soon. Drop a note or a Facebook thing or have a vist to my website: www.frankemerson.com. Please join me in keeping the troops in our thoughts and prayers. Best for now, Frank P.S. See your house in a Snow Globe . . .
