February 2019 Update

Hello Everyone – I’m guessing and hoping that you are all doing at least fairly fair…or Nicely Nicely thank you, as Frank Loesser would have put it… and did. I’ll go out on a limb here and say that I trust everyone had a Happy St. Valentine’s Day. Now, I don’t know how you feel about it, but I always questioned why a little, curly-headed, pseudo-human rug rat armed with a bow and arrow, which he unleashes on unsuspecting, defenseless, clueless individuals of all sexes, is the prevailing representative of Valentine’s Day. Sounds to me more like Chuckie in disguise than cute little Cupid, if you want to know the truth…though the little dickens can probably cause just as much mayhem. Max nix. On to the point. I’ll be appearing at Kevin Barry’s, 117 River Street in Savannah 19-23 February. (912-233-9626). Make note, this is Tuesday through Saturday: my new 5-day week at the place. Of course there is still music on Sunday and Monday – it’s just not me. Also, the open session is still going strong 6:30-8:30 on Sunday evenings. It’s hosted, as always by the popular Savannah Ceilidh Band. I still have some copies available of that rare publication, “Frank Tells Tales”. They’re selling like hotcakes! I wish they were selling like books – although I’ve been told that served with maple syrup, they can be quite edifying. Anyway, I’ll have some at the gig for $10, or I’ll sign and mail one to you upon receipt of $11.50 sent to me at: 790 E. Spiller Street Wytheville, Virginia 24382 Barring that, or even including that, you can download and in some cases purchase a bunch of my material – since I’ve been told that this is a common practice in these copyright-less days – from a number of sources, including Youtube and also at Spotify, Apple iTunes, Google Music Store, Rhapsody, Deezer, Amazon, thru CD Baby or even at my website: www.frankemerson.com. I guess that wraps if up for now. Please join me in keeping in your thoughts and prayers those men and women in harm’s way at home and overseas. Drop a line or an e-mail or a visit to my website, if you feel like it. I’m looking forward to seeing you down the road – maybe even next week! All the best, Frank
