December Update

Hello All I hope everyone had a peaceful, joyful, filling Thanksgiving with family, friends and loved ones – not necessarily mutually exclusive. I guess it’s time to rev up for Christmas and New Years celebrations. If you’d like to treat yourselves to something special this year, try to attend one of the series of Celtic Christmas Concerts presented and performed by my friends Carroll Brown, Harry O’Donoghue and Michael Murray. In the traditional spirit of Christmas, the shows are calculated to roast your chestnuts and warm your cockles. You can access the tour schedule at any of the fellows’ websites. In the mean time, I’ll be appearing this coming week (1-7 December) at Kevin Barry’s in Savannah. Monday – Saturday, I’m on stage at 8:00 PM. On Sunday, there is a traditional open session – anchored by the Savannah Ceilidh Group – starting at about 6:30 PM. All are invited to sing, play an instrument or just listen. I take the stage afterwards – usually around 8:45 or so and continue through the night. I must make note of the fact that Sunday, December 7th is the 73rd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. We always observe such occasions at Kevin Barry’s. Take care for now and I hope to see you sometime next week. We’ll have a few songs, a few stories, a few laughs – maybe a few tears – and a couple of drinks. God bless, Frank
